Compare roles at the same level
Pipefitters, electricians, welders and equipment operators can work under different project, qualification and compensation arrangements. There is no reliable universal ranking of the highest-paying trade without a date, region, experience level and source.
Use a total-offer worksheet
For each actual offer, record the base rate, expected paid hours, contract duration, overtime terms, benefits and travel costs. Add separate columns for accommodation, meals and LOA. A higher hourly rate may accompany fewer paid weeks or greater personal costs.
Find the right evidence
Use current employer vacancies and the Government of Canada Job Bank wage search as starting points. Record when each figure was checked. On WrenchRoster, describe your qualification and relevant industrial experience so hiring teams can assess fit for the actual role.
