A Red Seal endorsement is attached to a provincial or territorial trade certificate after the Red Seal examination is passed. Record the exact certificate and endorsement you hold instead of treating the terms as interchangeable.
Check the particular trade and role
Start with the official Red Seal trade list and your provincial or territorial apprenticeship authority. Review the employer’s required qualification level. Do not select Red Seal in a profile unless your documentation supports that status.
Make screening straightforward
Use the trade name shown on your certificate, add the issuing authority and keep the document readable. Apprentices should record their current level and relevant experience. Ask the hiring team how your qualification fits the specific work before mobilization.
