Fall Protection Training in Alberta
Alberta OHS Code section 141 requires employers to ensure workers are trained in the safe use of the fall-protection system before they perform work where that system is required.
No universal expiry claim
Section 141 sets training requirements but does not establish one universal certificate-expiry period for every provider. Check the issuer, employer and site requirement.
Site hazards still apply
Employers must also make workers aware of fall hazards specific to the work site and the controls being used.
