Does H2S Alive Expire?
Yes. Energy Safety Canada states that the H2S Alive certificate is valid for three years. Check the expiry date on your own certificate and plan renewal before the work that requires it.

Use the issuer’s certificate record and the expiry shown on your credential as the source of truth.

Update the credential and expiry in WrenchRoster after renewal so employers do not screen against an old date.
Can I use blended renewal after expiry?
Energy Safety Canada requires a valid, unexpired H2S Alive certificate to register for its blended renewal. That route includes online theory and an in-person skills assessment. If yours has expired, contact an authorized provider about the appropriate course before booking.
What should I update after renewal?
Save your new certificate and replace the old document and expiry date in your worker profile. Check the exact credential requested by the employer; similarly named awareness courses are not automatically interchangeable.
