Apprentice Registration, Journeyperson Certificates and Red Seal

Distinguish registration, trade certification and a Red Seal endorsement when completing your profile.

These records demonstrate different things Apprentice registration identifies a formal training status with the applicable authority. A provincial or territorial trade certificate demonstrates the qualification issued under that jurisdiction's program. A Red Seal endorsement concerns the interprovincial standard for participating trades; it is not a general safety ticket. Use the official Red Seal trade list and your provincial authority to confirm the trade title and pathway. Alberta applicants can start with Trade Secrets. Requirements and recognition decisions belong to those authorities, not WrenchRoster. Choose an honest qualification level Select apprentice only when you are actually registered in the relevant trade. Course enrolment, employment as a helper and time spent on a construction site do not by themselves establish registered status. Enter the current period you can substantiate rather than estimating from total years employed. For an experienced or internationally trained worker, distinguish work experience from recognized Canadian certification. Ask the authority about assessment or recognition; do not treat a translated document as an automatic equivalency decision. Upload and maintain the correct evidence Use Apprentice Registration, Journeyman Ticket or Red Seal Certificate according to what the document actually says. Preserve the trade name, issuer and any limits. Never invent an expiry date where the authority does not provide one. Contact support when the form cannot represent the evidence accurately. A WrenchRoster verification status does not issue or upgrade a trade certificate. Digital Blue Book records also do not automatically become official provincial apprenticeship credit.
